Remembrance

Bugle sounds ‘Last Post’
A hushed nation remembers
Reveille, sleep on.

  1. Who wouldn't stop to pay their respects for those who risked their lives so that we can have a little freedom today? It's always sad but touching to see images like this and to remember those who once were but are never to be forgotten.

    1. Thank you Rum Punch Drunk. There are those that don't, fortunately they are in the minority. It is important to remember those daamaged by war too, Mental and physical scars are a terrible burden and unlike the words in the poem, the victims do grow old and all to often society condemns.
